What amenities are offered at Barclay Place?
Barclay Place offers residents a full array of amenities. These include a private, lighted tennis court, a swimming pool with lawn furniture including tables and beach chairs, a spa, a fully-equipped clubhouse as well as a laundry room with vending machines. In addition, a lake comprises part of the northern boundry of the community.

Is Barclay Place a gated community?

Barclay Place is a limited access community with key-coded entry. Residents are supplied with unique key codes or, for a small charge, may lift the gate arm with a remote controlled device. Vendors and other service providers should use the keypad at the entry to look up the name of the resident and seek their permission to enter. Gate access codes to the other Heathrow entry gates will not work at Barclay Place.

How many condominium units comprise the Barclay Place community?
Barclay Place is comprised of 148 total units. There are two Carriage units, 38 one-story, one bedroom units, 36 one-story, two bedroom units, and 72 two-story, two bedroom units (38 of which have lofts).

Who is the management company for Barclay Place?

What is the composition of the Barclay Place Board of Directors?
Originally, the Board had three members. The Board was expanded to five (5) members beginning in 2006. The Board is comprised of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Asst. Secretary. Board members serve from December through November.

When are board meetings held?
Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month. The agenda for the meeting is posted here online and by the mail kiosk located at the front of the complex on the Friday before the meeting.

Can owners (members) participate in board meetings?
Owners are encouraged to attend and provide feedback on agenda items. During each meeting, a specific time period is set aside for owners to share their comments.


I own a unit. Can I lease it?
Yes. However, owners must use the residential lease approved for use in Barclay Place. Prospective tenants will be subjected to a background check performed by the management company at the expense of the unit owner.

Are pets allowed at Barclay Place?
Yes, with certain limitations. As described in section 8 of the Barclay Place Condominium Rules and regulations:

" All “exotic” pets are prohibited unless the prior approval of the Board of Directors of the Association is obtained, which approval shall be granted in the Board of Director's sole and absolute discretion. For purposes hereof, “exotic” pets include any pet which is not one of the following: cats, dogs weighing less than fifty (50) pounds and which are of a “non-aggressive” breed (as determined by the Board of Directors of the Association in its reasonable discretion), fish and birds not in excess of one (1) foot in height. No Unit Owner may have more than (2) dogs. All pets must be restrained on a leash or similar device when outside of any Unit. Unit Owners are responsible for cleaning up any waste deposited by pets on the Condominium Property. Pets may not be kept, bred or maintained for any commercial purpose, nor kept in unreasonable numbers, nor allowed to behave in any manner which annoys or interferes with any other Unit Owner's use or enjoyment of his or her Unit. This Section 8 shall not apply to any pet which is currently owned by any resident of any Unit during the lifetime of such pet; provided however, that upon the death of such pet, this Section 8 shall apply in full to such Unit and any resident thereof."

Can tenants have pets at Barclay Place?
Yes. They must comply with Section 8 of the Barclay Place Condominium Rules and Regulations. In addition, renters and tenants must complete a separate pet lease in addition to their residential lease agreement.

Are there assigned parking spaces at Barclay Place?
No, but there are rules regarding where, what and how you can park your vehicle. Section 19 of the Condominium Rules and Regulations covers this.

"No vehicle belonging to any Unit Owner or to a member of the family of a Unit Owner or guest, tenant or employee of a Unit Owner shall be parked in any unauthorized area, in any fire lane. The Unit Owners, their employees, servants, agents, visitors, licensees and the Unit Owner's family will obey all posted parking regulations. Vehicles parked in any unauthorized areas or impeding any fire lanes are subject to being towed away at the Unit Owner's or authorized user's sale expense. No repair of vehicles shall be made within the Condominium Property. No Unit Owner shall store or leave boats, trailers, mobile homes, recreational vehicles and the like on the Condominium Property, except in areas, if any, designated for the same. No trucks or buses may be parked anywhere on Condominium Property, except for those of the Developer or the Management Company, if any. Unless parking spaces are assigned as appurtenances to particular Units, each space may be used by any Unit Owner, family member, lessee or guest. Unit Owners may not park vehicles in spaces designated for handicapped persons, unless they fall within this category of individuals, and the Association or Management Company shall have the right to notify local authorities of any such violations. Vehicles should be parked within the painted lines."

Will Barclay Place tow illegally parked vehicles?
Yes, Barclay Place has entered an agreement with Pat's Towing to remove illegally parked vehicles from the premises. Effective March 15, 2006, illegally parked vehicles will be towed under the Barclay Place Parking Enforcement Resolution.


Is a keycode required for gate entry?
Yes. All residents are provided with a keycode when they buy or lease in Barclay Place. This unique keycode should not be given out. Vendors and other service providers may look up the name of a resident and be granted access. This system is done to help eliminate solicitors and others who should not have access to the Barclay Place community.

Remote control devices that can control the gate function may be purchased from the Management Company.

Where can I purchase a remote control for the gate?

Does Barclay Place use video cameras?
Yes, there are a number of cameras in place to record activities around the gate area. These are primarily used to track those who damage the gate arms and to seek restitution.
